National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) Tackles Education Challenges at Annual Summit
Washington, D.C. (Feb. 18, 2014) – Recognizing that families play such a crucial role in a child’s learning process, the annual Families Learning Summit and National Conference on Family Literacy, from NCFL, today convened national education leaders to consider the special challenges and opportunities that exist surrounding family learning.

That’s because they celebrated the launch of their second V6 engine line at a ceremony this morning with invited guests, including Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, U.S. Senators Richard Shelby and Jeff Sessions and U.S. Representative Mo Brooks. The ceremony capped off Toyota Alabama’s fifth significant investment since it began operations 11 years ago.
The ceremony also featured the plant’s three millionth engine produced.

Louisville, KY (Feb. 12, 2014) — In a tale as old as time, the evening comes to a bustling end as mom or dad catches a glance at the clock and asks in disbelief, “Where did the day go!?” To get right to the bottom of it, the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) tapped Harris Poll in October 2013 to conduct an online survey of more than 2,000 U.S. adults* to investigate how families spend their days together. And while they definitely can’t create more time for parents, today NCFL and Toyota announce the Family Time Machine, a website and mobile app to help parents and kids make better use of every moment in the day.
