PLANO, Texas (Jan. 19, 2022) – Toyota NHRA, Formula DRIFT and GT4 series drivers will compete under the Toyota Gazoo Racing North America (TGRNA) banner beginning with the 2022 racing season. TGRNA will serve as the North American arm for Toyota’s global motorsports division, Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR).
Toyota has been a fixture in American motorsports for over four decades. The knowledge learned on-track has assisted in making advancements to the Toyota vehicles you see roll off the factory floors across the United States. Currently, Toyota and TRD compete in NASCAR, ARCA, NHRA’s Top Fuel and Funny Car classes, Formula Drift and midget car racing across the country.
POMONA, Calif. (November 14, 2021) – This morning at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Toyota unveiled its new race car for the 2022 NHRA season in Funny Car competition. For the first time, Toyota will campaign the GR Supra beginning with the season kickoff event in Pomona in February.
BRISTOL, Tenn. (October 15, 2021) – Toyota announced today that Torrence Racing will join Team Toyota beginning with the 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season. The addition of Torrence Racing’s two-team effort expands Toyota’s team partnerships to include five Top Fuel dragsters and two Funny Cars.
