For 2027, the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is available in four grades: SE, XSE, Nightshade and XSE Premium. It is powered by the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5), pairing a 2.0-liter engine with electric motors to deliver 220 net-combined horsepower and a 6.6-second 0-60 mph time. A 13.6-kWh battery provides an EPA-estimated all-electric range of up to 44 miles on the SE grade, and an EPA-estimated 51 MPG combined in Hybrid Mode. For 2027, Prius Plug-in adds Dual-Zone HVAC for enhanced cabin comfort and introduces Inked, a new black exterior color.
