Since the announcement in September 2025 that the next Forza Horizon video game would be set in Japan, a long-sought-after location by the game’s fan base, gamers have been clamoring for previews of the gameplay and other details. During Xbox’s Developer Direct broadcast, they got some: the new Horizon 6 game’s cover art was finally revealed with a GR- and Toyota-only cast.

With Forza Horizon 6 taking players (virtually) to Japan, Toyota Motor Corporation is thrilled that the GR GT and 250-series Toyota Land Cruiser, its top on- and off-road performance vehicles, are to headline the game’s cover art. Their appearance together on the game’s cover marks the first time a Forza Horizon game’s cover has featured vehicle brands from a single parent automaker.

Besides revealing the new game’s GR and Toyota cover cars on Xbox’s Developer Direct broadcast, Forza Horizon 6 developers Playground Games announced the release date for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Steam, and day one with Game Pass Ultimate: May 19, 2026. With Premium Edition Early Access, fans can access the game even sooner, on May 15, 2026. Forza Horizon 6 also is coming to PlayStation later this year.
