In 2023, NASCAR driver Tyler Reddick ended his inaugural season with Team Toyota with two wins and 10 top-five finishes. Now in his second year with Toyota and 23XI Racing®, Reddick is ready to take his career — and his Camry — to another level.
“I’m still racing hard, but it’s nice knowing we have a car that’s capable of overcoming track position. If I can’t get them on this lap, maybe the next — it gives me options as a driver.”
On the track, Reddick is behind the wheel of the No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI Racing®. Off the track, the multi-time Xfinity® Series champion drives a Toyota GR Supra.
“My favorite thing about driving my Supra is two parts,” he said. “I would say the sound of the turbo spooling and the blowout valve as I’m shifting through that six-speed manual transmission.”
First Toyota Win
Reddick’s first top-five result of the 2023 season was in March at the Phoenix Raceway, where he finished third.
“I didn’t have the best of restarts,” he said at the time. “Everyone on The Beast Unleashed Toyota Camry TRD did a really good job. This car was solidly like a third- to fifth-place car all day long, so to bring it home third is great.”
Later that month, Reddick won his first race for Toyota and 23XI® Racing at Circuit of the Americas®. The California native led over half the race, battling through multiple late restarts to earn his first win.
“I’m just so proud of this Monster Energy® Toyota Camry TRD,” he said. “Toyota, everybody, all the resources they’ve been putting into this to help turn around the road course program means a lot.”
Part of the 23XI Team
In the second half of the season, the 28-year-old claimed his second win Team Toyota in Kansas. Reddick led just two laps, but his final restart was good enough to secure his second win of the season.
“It was perfect, honestly,” Reddick said. “We had a really, really good MoneyLion® Toyota Camry TRD all day long. Everyone at 23XI — when we come to Kansas, we mean business.”
Toyota partners with 23XI Racing, a NASCAR® Cup Series team co-owned by driver Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan. The partnership includes support from Toyota Racing Development (TRD), which builds the team’s engines and provides technology, data, and technical assistance.
“This whole 23XI® team has been working so hard all winter long to make the road course program better,” Reddick said following his Circuit of the Americas® win. “I was extremely motivated to come in here and prove that performance, too.”
