PLANO, Texas (Feb. 18, 2026) — Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain model year 2025-2026 Lexus LX 600 vehicles. Approximately 4,400 vehicles are involved in this recall in the U.S.

A software issue can allow the transmission to damage itself under certain conditions. This can lead to loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds, which can increase the risk of a crash. It can also lead to a transmission fluid leak that can increase the risk of vehicle fire in the presence of an ignition source.

For all involved vehicles, Lexus dealers will update the software in the transmission control computer, free of charge to the customer.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late-April 2026.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For any additional questions, Lexus customer support is also available by calling the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1.800.255.3987.
