Toyota GAZOO Racing North America Introduces the Legends Cup Presented by WWEX Group to the 2025 GR Cup Series
Read MoreMOORESVILLE, NC (March 20, 2025) – Toyota GAZOO Racing North America’s (TGRNA) GR Cup Series is excited to announce the launch of the Legends Cup presented by WWEX Group. Designed exclusively for drivers 45 years and older, the Legends Cup class will be featured within the GR Cup Series at select events during the 2025 GR Cup season, offering seasoned racers a unique platform to compete at some of the most iconic tracks in the United States.
The WWEX Group Legends Cup is a six-race competition held at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Road America and Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the 45-minute GR Cup series races. Competitors in the Legends Cup will race for podium honors, with the top three finishers in each event recognized on a Legend-specific podium. The driver with the highest cumulative points across all Legends Cup events will be crowned the inaugural WWEX Group Legends Cup Champion.

In addition to the Legends Cup competition, WWEX Group will award a $5,000 bonus to the Highest Finishing Legend driver at each of the 14 GR Cup races in 2025, further incentivizing top-level competition among experienced racers. At the end of the season, the Legend driver with the highest cumulative points will become the WWEX Group Fastest Legend and earn an additional $5,000 award. In total, $75,000 in prize money is up for grabs for Legends drivers through these awards.
The introduction of the Legends Cup highlights TGRNA’s commitment to providing competitive opportunities for drivers of all backgrounds while celebrating the drive and talent of motorsports enthusiasts at all stages of their racing careers.
