PLANO, Texas (June 27, 2025) – Toyota GAZOO Racing North America (TGRNA), in partnership with SRO America, today announces the 2026 race schedule for the Toyota GR Cup Series. The series will once again feature 14 races across seven rounds, bringing thrilling action to some of the most famed racing circuits in North America, with drivers and teams competing in Toyota GR86 race cars for $1 million in purse and prizes.
The 2026 season will kick off March 13-15 at the inaugural Grand Prix of Arlington race weekend, taking place at a new 2.73-mile street circuit in Arlington, Texas, that circles the city’s sports monuments of AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium.
The remainder of the 2026 schedule features a mix of returning venues where the GR Cup Series has seen strong success in its first three seasons, along with two additional events to be announced at a later date. The series’ championship-deciding weekend will again take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, October 9-11.
“We are very pleased with the race calendar we’ve put together for the 2026 Toyota GR Cup Series season,” said Mike Norem, Customer Racing Manager at TRD U.S.A. (Toyota Racing Development). “While the GR Cup is still a relatively young championship, it has already become one of the most competitive, exhilarating and well-rounded forms of motorsport. We’re looking forward to carrying that momentum into 2026 with this great lineup of events and teams.”

TGRNA also confirms the return and expansion of the WWEX Group Legends Cup – a dedicated class within the GR Cup Series for drivers aged 45 and older. Growing from six races to 10 in 2026, the Legends Cup will be contested at five GR Cup weekends: Grand Prix of Arlington, Sonoma Raceway, Circuit of The Americas, Road America and Barber Motorsports Park. While racing within the overall GR Cup field, Legends Cup competitors vie for class honors, with the top three recognized on a dedicated Legends Cup podium at each event. New for 2026, drivers may drop their two lowest scoring races. The highest cumulative total from their best eight results will determine the 2026 WWEX Group Legends Cup Champion.
“The Legends Cup has quickly become a standout part of GR Cup weekends, and we’re proud to continue our partnership with Toyota to support this exciting program,” said Mike Grayson, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at WWEX Group. “It gives passionate, experienced drivers a world-class environment to race, and fans love the energy these competitors bring to the paddock.”
