Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today announced its financial results for the first quarter, which ended June 30, 2026.

TOYOTA CITY, Japan (Aug. 4, 2026) – Consolidated vehicle sales totaled approximately 2,395,000 units, a decrease of approximately 16,000 units compared to the same period last fiscal year. On a consolidated basis, net revenues for the period totaled 13.525 trillion yen ($84.5 billion), an increase of 10.4%. Operating income decreased from 1.166 trillion yen ($8.0 billion) to 1.063 trillion yen ($6.6 billion), while income before income taxes 1 was 1.963 trillion yen ($12.3 billion). Net income 2 increased from 0.841 trillion yen ($5.8 billion) to 1.477 trillion yen ($9.2 billion).

Regions
North America: Vehicle sales totaled approximately 792,000 units, a decrease of 2,000 units. Operating income, excluding the impact of valuation gains/losses from interest rate swaps, increased by 188.9 billion yen ($1.18 billion) to 125.3 billion yen ($783 million).

Japan: Vehicle sales totaled approximately 524,000 units, an increase of 43,000 units.  Operating income, excluding the impact of valuation gains/losses from interest rate swaps, decreased by 104.8 billion yen ($655 million) to 538.6 billion yen ($3.37 billion).

Europe: Vehicle sales totaled approximately 307,000 units, an increase of 9,000 units. Operating income, excluding the impact of valuation gains/losses from interest rate swaps, increased by 15.8 billion yen ($98 million) to 113.2 billion yen ($707 million).

Asia: Vehicle sales totaled approximately 439,000 units, an increase of 18,000 units. Operating income, excluding the impact of valuation gains/losses from interest rate swaps, decreased by 11.2 billion yen ($70 million) to 209.5 billion yen ($1.31 billion).

Other regions (including Central and South America, Oceania, Africa, and the Middle East): Vehicle sales totaled approximately 332,000 units, a decrease of 85,000 units. Operating income, excluding the impact of valuation gains/losses from interest rate swaps, increased by 2.6 billion yen ($16 million) to 101.0 billion yen ($631 million).

Financial Services
Financial services operating income increased by 41.7 billion yen ($260 million) to 229.7 billion yen ($1.44 billion). Including valuation gains/losses, operating income increased by 53.4 billion yen ($333 million) to 275.6 billion yen ($1.72 billion).

Forecast
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, TMC estimates consolidated vehicles sales will be 9.70 million units. Based on an exchange rate assumption of 160 yen to the U.S. dollar, TMC forecasts consolidated net revenue of 54.0 trillion yen ($337.5 billion), operating income of 3.4 trillion yen ($21.3 billion), income before income taxes of 4.57 trillion yen ($28.6 billion), and net income of 3.25 trillion yen ($20.3 billion).
