Scion FR-S Nominated to Best of 2013 List by Cars.com

TORRANCE, Calif., (Dec. 20, 2012) – The Scion FR-S was nominated as a Best of 2013 car by Cars.com, an online review and consumer information website. Judges evaluated this year’s new and redesigned cars, and they praised the FR-S for its driving experience and affordability. The FR-S shares its nomination with the Subaru BRZ.

Toyota’s 2013 Avalon to Offer World’s First Application of Qi Wireless In-Car Charging

TORRANCE, Calif., Dec. 19, 2012 – The 2013 Toyota Avalon Limited will be the first vehicle available in the world that offers in-console Qi wireless charging for Qi–enabled mobile phones and devices as part of a Technology Package, available for both the gasoline and hybrid version of the new Avalon Limited, which also includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Automatic High beams and a Pre-Collision System.

Scion FR-S Wins First Ever AutoGuide.com Car of the Year Award

TORRANCE, Calif., (Dec. 19, 2012) – AutoGuide.com judges have bestowed the consumer resource website’s first Car of the Year Award to the Scion FR-S. All new vehicles were evaluated against their competitors, new class benchmarks set and their importance to the automaker, consumers and industry. Describing the FR-S as “driving bliss,” AutoGuide.com called out the sport car’s agility and balance, in addition to its driver responsiveness.
