Toyota Motor Sales Issues March 2014 Sales Preview

TORRANCE, Calif. (April 1, 2014) – Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported March 2014 sales results of 215,348 units, an increase of 8.9 percent from March 2013 on a daily selling rate (DSR). On a raw-volume basis, unadjusted for 26 selling days in March 2014 versus 27 selling days in March 2013, TMS sales increased 4.9 percent from year-ago month.
 
“Solid March sales pushed first-quarter industry results ahead of last year’s pace despite one of the harshest winters on record,” said Bill Fay, Toyota division group vice president and general manager.  “Toyota dealers had their two best sales weekends of the year late in the month, and we’re optimistic that momentum will spring us in into April.”

Celebration Concludes Third Year of Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good

TORRANCE, Calif. (March 27, 2014) – Nine nonprofits ready to serve their communities will gather today to celebrate the 2013 100 Cars for Good philanthropy program. The charities will use their nine vehicles (seven Siennas and two Tundras) won through the program’s public voting to transport people, food and even musical instruments. Those same instruments will help veterans and at-risk youth find confidence and friendship through music education and performances, thanks to The Rock Club and Rock for Vets.

Toyota Financial Services Reaffirms Its On-Going Commitment to Addressing Nationwide High School Dropout Rates with a $500,000 Donation to 35 Boys & Girls Clubs

TORRANCE, Calif., (March 25, 2014) – Toyota Financial Services (TFS) pledges $500,000 to 35 Boys & Girls Clubs as part of its on-going commitment to addressing the national high school dropout rate. Boys & Girls Clubs encourage high school graduation and college readiness by helping youth develop the academic, behavioral and social skills needed to be successful. According to a recent survey conducted at local Clubs, 97% of Club teens expect to graduate from high school, and 28% of Club Alumni said they would have dropped out without the Club’s influence.
