Toyota is committed to decarbonization efforts with hydrogen fuel cell technology. Fuel cells combine hydrogen and oxygen to make electricity and emit only water vapor.

Toyota is developing hydrogen technology in Gardena, California, at its Hydrogen Headquarters (H2HQ), focusing on commercialization, planning, sales, engineering, and organizational efforts to advance the hydrogen economy.
