Rally RAV4 and Millen Finish Strong at NEFR

Torrance, Calif., July 20, 2016 --  When you turn in a flawless race performance, the results are usually always good.  The New England Forest Rally (NEFR), held this past weekend, was no exception to that rule.  Ryan Millen and his 2016 RAV4 SE finished in second place in the 2WD Class, just 14 seconds in back of the Ford Fiesta ST of Cameron Steely after over 100 miles of stages. The performance keeps Millen and co-driver, Christina Fate, in the hunt for the championship with just two races to go.

The Electrochemical Society and Toyota North America Announce 2016-2017 Fellowship Winners for Projects in Green Energy Technology

Pennington, N.J.  (July 15, 2016) -- The ECS Toyota Young Investigator Fellowship Selection Committee has selected three recipients who will receive a minimum of $50,000 each for fellowships for projects in green energy technology. The winners are Professor Elizabeth Biddinger, City College of New York; Professor Joaquin Rodriguez Lopez, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Professor Joshua Snyder, Drexel University.

Elbow Grease: TMMWV Team Members Volunteer to Help Flood Victims Dig Out

Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia (TMMWV) team member Tony Perry is known as “the Refrigerator.”
 
Perry, you see, has the strength and stomach to remove refrigerators and freezers from homes devastated by a record-breaking flood in Clendenin, W.Va., about 60 miles east of TMMWV. He’s one of more than 100 team members who have volunteered to help residents in the aftermath of the June 23 thunderstorms that dropped some 10 inches of rain in only a few hours. The adjoining Elk River rose more than 27 feet, coating the town of 1,200 residents in mud and claiming 25 lives.
