Lexus and Toyota Roll-Out Low-Cost Automated Braking Safety Packages
NEW YORK, NY, March 30, 2015 - The world’s first compact crossover sport utility vehicle (SUV) and the world’s first luxury crossover SUV are helping to bring advanced safety technology to the mass market; raising the bar and lowering the price. His job? To walk in front of vehicles.
Steve is a moving dummy (also known as a mannequin) that stands in for a pedestrian crossing a road. Mannequins like Steve – which come in adult and child sizes – mimic different walking speeds and angles to allow for realistic testing situations.
