Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas
Frank Voss serves as president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas (Toyota Texas) where he leads all production and administrative functions at the plant. He is dual capped as the group vice president of Region 4 (Truck) for Toyota Motor North America, which includes Toyota Texas, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Baja California, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Guanajuato and TABC.
Located deep in the heart of Texas, the San Antonio manufacturing facility is the exclusive home to the iconic Toyota Tundra and all-hybrid Toyota Sequoia, assembled on the same production line. The soon-to-be 2.7 million square-feet facility has received a total investment of $4.7 billion and will employ more than 4,000 people by 2026 to meet increased operational demands for these trucks and SUVs.
Voss joins Toyota Texas from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Inc. (TMMC) where he was president. In that role, he was responsible for Toyota’s automotive manufacturing operations in Canada, including assembly plants in Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario which produce the gas and hybrid models of the Toyota RAV4, the Lexus RX and the Lexus NX.
Before stepping into his current role, Voss served as vice president of Administration and Corporate Secretary at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, located in Georgetown. His journey with Toyota began in 2002 when he joined TMMC as general manager of Information Systems. Just two years later, he transitioned to general manager of Production Control, and by 2009, he was heading Lexus Manufacturing as general manager of TMMC’s south plant. In that role, he oversaw all aspects of production—including stamping, welding, paint, plastics and assembly—while also managing facilities and environmental engineering across TMMC.
A licensed professional engineer, Voss holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he is deeply committed to community service, having contributed his time and expertise to numerous industries and community boards.
