What: The U.S. Women's Open
The U.S. Women's Open was added to the USGA's roster of Championships in 1953. The event is open to any female who has a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 4.4. In January of 2007, Lexus became the first automotive partner in USGA’s 112-year history and serves as official vehicle of the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior Open, and U.S. Amateur Open. Lexus has created a multi-faceted program to provide an unforgettable experience for attendees.

Displays and Activities: Lexus Full Swing
A Full Swing Golf simulator, located within the Lexus Performance Drive Tent, will allow fans at the U.S. Women’s Open to take their best golf shots on a virtual No. 2 Course at Pinehurst Resort the site of the 2005 U.S. Open. Fans will have the opportunity to win a trip to the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open.
Visitors can also have their photo taken with a full-size replica of the U.S. Women’s Open trophy in front of a backdrop of the Pine Needles Golf course in the Lexus Performance Drive Tent. Once snapped, participants can view, download and forward their photo online.
Lexus will showcase the LS 600h L at the Lexus Performance Drive Tent, located at the main entrance for spectators.
A national survey from Lexus reveals that women golfers are more driven to succeed on the greens than their male counterparts. The survey reveals that on average, regular golfers say the most number of hours they’ve spent on a driving range in one day is four, but women are actually spending even more hours than men (5 vs. 4).
