When it comes to best-selling sedans in America, the Camry is known for its rich legacy and reputation for reliability. With its favorable performance and style, the Camry can take customers from daily errand runs to fun weekend adventures — and this next-generation model is no exception.

Here are five things about the 2025 Toyota Camry that are sure to build some excitement in the run-up to its expected arrival at dealerships this spring.

Road to Carbon Neutrality
Toyota is committed to reducing carbon emissions as part of a carbon-neutral future. And the next-generation Camry fits perfectly into the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts and product lineup.

This new sedan is a hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) that will be available solely as such. Standard models will be outfitted with the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5), which offers a more controllable and engaging driving experience. It also provides drivers the ability to reach their destinations in an eco-conscious fashion.

Leading the Charge
The 2025 Camry is a dream for those who crave hopping into their cars and experiencing an excellent driving experience when they turn on the ignition. The vehicle will be the first-ever Toyota sedan that’s powered by a pairing of its 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine and fifth generation THS 5. Some might consider it the best of both worlds.

This groundbreaking combination has a standard 225 net combined horsepower on Front Wheel Drive (FWD) models and 232 horsepower on Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) equipped models. The sport grades have a specific sport-tuned suspension. So, when drivers get behind the wheel, they’ll take a smooth ride with agile handling that makes the journey more enjoyable.

Making New Moves
For the first time ever on a Camry Hybrid, Toyota’s Electronic On-Demand AWD will be available on all grades. To help drivers reach their destinations the AWD system provides additional traction when needed. The Camry is designed to help navigate snowy or icy roads as well as uneven surfaces. The AWD system’s capability comes from a dedicated rear electric drive motor generator that automatically supplies power to the rear wheels when needed.

Shining Bright in the USA
Contemporary and sleek, the 2025 Camry joins the ranks of countless other cutting-edge vehicles that were designed by CALTY Design Research studio teams in Newport Beach, California and Ann Arbor, Michigan. The sedan possesses a more athletic look while still delivering an overall design and aesthetic that Camry fans have grown accustomed to.

For those who like to put the pedal to the metal, the SE and XSE grades have sporty exterior styling with a sleek roofline and a defined body. They also feature racing-inspired functional aspects including aerodynamic air ducts, front side canards, and a rear diffuser.

The distinctive hammerhead front face adds a fresh clean look that is sure to command attention no matter the destination, such as taking a speedy weekend trip or picking the kids up from soccer practice.

The goal for the Camry engineering team at Toyota Motor North America’s Research and Development in Michigan was to also perfect the hammerhead design, which pushes the lamps toward the corner of the vehicle and defines the Camry’s eye-catching front face. They accomplished that with a lot of skill, effort, and extra hours of nighttime testing on Michigan roads.

Safety Features
Designed to help look out for your safety, standard Blind Spot Monitor warns you when a vehicle approaches your blind spot. When backing out of a space, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert detects vehicles approaching from either side and notifies you using the sideview mirror indicators and the Toyota Audio Multimedia screen.

In addition, the new Camry will come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which is a suite of active safety features. From looking out for pedestrians while turning corners to detecting speed limit and warning signs, these technologies are designed to help keep drivers and pedestrians safer.

The new 2025 Toyota Camry is a testament to Toyota’s continuous improvement culture. Some things get better over time and this beloved nameplate is a prime example.
