Dawn Pittman Collins is the group vice president and chief compliance and ethics officer for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). In this role, Pittman Collins is responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance and support to business units across TMNA. She leads multiple departments, including internal audit, compliance and ethics, regulatory compliance, and customs/trade compliance. Her division ensures compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures upholding Toyota’s commitment to integrity and principled performance.
Pittman Collins serves as an advisor to the TMNA Audit Committee, Compliance Advisory Council, and the Risk Committee and as a roundtable member of the Global Office of the Deputy Chief Risk Officer.
Prior to serving as chief compliance and ethics officer, she served as the assistant general counsel, Product Law in the TMNA Legal Department, where she led a team of attorneys, legal and engineering professionals in the Product Litigation Group. Her responsibilities included oversight of all aspects of the product liability portfolio, as well as advice and counsel to senior business leaders and stakeholders on business strategy, risk evaluation and mitigation.
Before joining Toyota’s legal team in 2011, Pittman Collins was a litigation partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, LLP. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Pittman Collins is part of Shoreline City Church Dallas, where she serves on the global missions team and is actively involved in local and international community service projects.
