A camera-toting Toyota Corolla gave new meaning to the term vanity plate when it greeted famous guests at the People En Español’s 50 Mas Bellos (50 Most Beautiful) gala in New York City’s Capitale on May 12, 2014.

A carnival theme set a festive tone for approximately 450 celebrities, influencers, and industry leaders who came to celebrate. One of the revelers was a 2014 Toyota Corolla equipped with a robotic arm ready to snap selfies that were shared via social media throughout the evening.

Fans — of celebrities and of course the Corolla — took part in the festivities through an online live-stream sponsored by Toyota and MundoFox.

Corolla’s big brother, the Toyota Highlander, stole a little spotlight serving as the courtesy shuttle for the event’s attendees.
