Yuji Hiraoka

Yuji Hiraoka is the senior vice president of Manufacturing for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). In this role, Hiraoka is responsible for strengthening the manufacturing foundations of the 15 plant locations in North America.  

Prior to his role at TMNA, Hiraoka was the president of Siam Toyota Manufacturing (STM) in Thailand. While at STM, Hiraoka was in charge of enhancing the company’s competitiveness by embedding the Toyota Production System (TPS), Toyota’s management philosophy for maximizing efficiency. 

Hiraoka has held a number of global roles since beginning his career at Toyota in 1981. 

Hiaoka holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Yamagata University in Yamagata, Japan.
