Srini Matam is group vice president, Battery Manufacturing Engineering for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). Matam is responsible for electric vehicle production preparation activities, which include battery equipment installation and production trials.

Before his current role, Matam was group vice president of Powertrain and Shared Services, TMNA. In this role, he was responsible for Safety, Environmental, Facilities Engineering and Electrification Strategy and Planning for Powertrain.

Prior to his role as group vice president, Matam served as the president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia where he was responsible for all manufacturing and administrative functions. With more than 22 years of experience with Toyota, Matam has served in various general manager roles, including manufacturing of drivetrains, engines and axles.

Matam is currently serving as a board member of the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar program and the Governor’s Scholar Foundation. Previously, he served on several external boards including Education Alliance, Discover Real West Virginia, Clay Center, University of Charleston and West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.

He received a bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUV College of Engineering and master’s degree in Production Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.
