PLANO, Texas (Aug. 5, 2026) – The bZ Woodland, Toyota’s rugged addition to its battery-electric (BEV) lineup, is back for its second year and is expected to arrive at dealerships nationwide later this year. Blending midsize SUV utility with exhilarating electric performance, it’s equipped with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) featuring X-MODE® and brings a highly capable, adventure-ready twist to the bZ family. To bolster its rugged utility, it has 8.4 inches of ground clearance, and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity.

The bZ Woodland delivers a whopping total system output of 375 horsepower and has an estimated 4.5-second 0-60 mph. It has a manufacturer-estimated driving range rating of 281 miles* when equipped with all-season tires, and a 260-mile range rating when equipped with available all-terrain tires.

Amped Up for Adventure
The bZ Woodland comes equipped with All-wheel drive with electric motors housed in the front and rear eAxles. It comes standard with X-MODE ®, an AWD function that helps to optimize brake control and power delivery at the wheels for enhanced control and traction.

Another feature of the AWD X-MODE ® system is Grip Control. When activated and used at low speeds, the system modulates motor power delivery to enhance capability in adverse conditions. This feature was developed as an added function to react to road surface characteristics and maintain a constant speed to improve the driver’s focus on what’s ahead.

The bZ Woodland’s AWD capability combines with the smooth, yet exhilarating, driving performance inherent in an all-electric vehicle. Its powerful drive is complemented by a low center of gravity, thanks to its battery pack placed flat under the floor. A battery cross-framing structure also adds to overall vehicle rigidity for stable handling.

The Toyota bZ Woodland is powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and includes a NACS charging port for access to a broad network of DC fast-charging stations in the U.S.

Toyota Audio Multimedia System & Connected Technology
The 2027 Toyota bZ Woodland has a standard 14-inch touchscreen featuring the Toyota Audio Multimedia audio system, developed by the Texas-based Toyota Connected Technologies team. The base grade’s system has six-speakers and supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. A JBL® premium audio system with 9-speakers (including subwoofer) and amplifier is standard on the Premium grade model.

Interior tech features include standard dual Qi® wireless charging with enhanced power output, multiple USB-C ports, and a 120V/1500W AC outlet in the rear cargo area. It has a top-mount Multi-Information Display (MID) with indicators and a 7-inch customizable LCD display with speedometer, charge meter, power output meter, drive mode indicators, charging information and more.

Toyota’s 36-month/36,000-mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and corrosion with no mileage limitation.
