PARIS (Aug. 8, 2024) – In Paris on Wednesday, Team Toyota’s Nathan Chen received his gold medal from the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 as a member of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team that competed in the team event.

Chen competed in the men’s short program event during the team competition where he finished first and earned 10 points and helped Team USA claim the silver medal at the time, but due to a later disqualification, the U.S. team was awarded the gold. This marks Chen’s second gold medal to go along with the gold he also captured in Beijing in Men’s single skating. He also holds one bronze medal (mixed team, PyeongChang 2018).

“It means a lot to me, means a lot to the team,” said Chen. “We didn’t have our families in Beijing, so to have our families here is huge. We put in a lot of work, we’re a very dedicated team. We’ve held ourselves together very well the past couple of years. I’m really proud of all the people on this team. We’re really excited to finally have our moment.”

Along with his Olympic Games accomplishments, Chen is a three-time world champion (2018, 2019, 2021) and is a six-time U.S. Figure Skating champion at just 25-years-old.
