Toyota?s DARV 1.5 uses Microsoft?s Surface and custom biometric software and algorithms to help driver and passengers and the vehicle work as a team to achieve safer driving.

Toyota's CSRC is partnering with Indiana University-Purdue to develop standardized test protocols for pedestrian pre-collision systems, including mannequins of different shapes and sizes that mimic real-world walking speeds and angles.

DARV X is used by UC San Diego’s Laboratory for Intelligent and Safe Automobiles for Naturalistic Driving Studies, using an array of cameras and sensors both inside and out, it tracks driver behavior behind the wheel and performs lane tracking and drive analysis.
