As vice president of manufacturing at Toyota Kentucky, Hostettler is responsible for the overall management of vehicle manufacturing and organization at Toyota’s largest manufacturing facility globally.
The facility, located in Georgetown, Kentucky, represents a nearly $10 billion investment and is home to the Camry, Lexus ES 350 (including hybrid versions of both), and RAV4 Hybrid; plus, four-cylinder and V6 engines.
Prior to her current role, Hostettler served as senior vice president of manufacturing at Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM), where she was responsible for the plant’s production system, quality department, and hiring and training for 4,000 team members.
Hostettler joined Toyota in July 2000 as a quality engineering specialist at Toyota Indiana. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles in many areas of the manufacturing process, including paint, plastics, plant engineering, quality, and pilot production. After being promoted to general manager in 2017, she led final vehicle assembly for Sienna, Highlander, and Sequoia.
Outside of her direct responsibilities, Hostettler champions diversity and inclusion initiatives as a strong advocate and advisor for women, young professionals, and Latino/Hispanic communities. She has advocated for career development opportunities to support these communities through nonprofit board service in organizations such as the Evansville Diversity Lecture Series, Society of Women Engineers, Shaping our Appalachian Region, MTM Women Inspiring Women, and Evansville High School Engineering Development Program. She also serves on the board of The Manufacturing Institute.
Hostettler was named a STEP Ahead honoree by The Manufacturing Institute and one of the Women Worth Watching in 2016. Most recently, she was inducted into the Women in Manufacturing Hall of Fame in 2023.
She holds a bachelor’s in chemistry from Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana.
Hostettler and her husband, Rob, live in Lexington, Kentucky, and have three children: Samuel, Noah, and Emma. She is also a grandmother of twins – all a huge inspiration and support for a balanced working wife/mother’s life.
