PLANO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2022) – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2021 model year C-HR vehicles in the U.S. Approximately 37,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

The radar sensor used by the Pre-Collision System (PCS) may not have been initialized properly in the involved vehicles during production. In that case, the PCS would be inoperative with no warning indicator to the driver. An inoperative PCS, without a PCS malfunction indicator, may increase the risk of a crash in certain driving situations.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will inspect the radar sensor and, if necessary, properly initialize the radar sensor, free of charge.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2022.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter.
