]]>New for 2021: XLE Hybrid Premium
New for 2021 includes the XLE Premium grade for RAV4 Hybrid. Modeled off the gas version with some new additions, features of the new RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium include:
New Skid Plate for 2021 RAV4 TRD Off-Road Model
For model year 2021, the TRD Off-Road will continue to echo the persona of Toyota’s legendary off-road racers – thanks to the addition of a TRD-stamped stainless steel front skid plate for 2021. Customers will benefit from increased resistance against debris found on or off the road with this RAV4 first-ever front skid-plate. This addition adds another level of TRD prowess to the already capable TRD Off-Road.
Building on the exterior aesthetics and 8.6-inch ground clearance of the RAV4 Adventure, the TRD Off-Road goes above and beyond with suspension, wheels and tires engineered specifically for rugged trail driving. Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Driveline Disconnect is standard and supported by and a full complement of off-road handling technologies. To take more adventure equipment along, such as personal watercraft, dirt bikes or a small enclosed trailer, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road is rated to tow a trailer up to 3,500 pounds.
The TRD Off-Road suspension is engineered to enhance body control and small-bump isolation to help smooth out trails and rough city streets. Exclusive red-colored coil springs are tuned for an off-road focus. The twin-tube shocks are re-valved and feature internal rebound springs to improve control. New bump stops maximize compression-direction wheel travel and help improve body control over large bumps and dips.
The 2021 RAV4 TRD Off-Road rolls on lighter and more rigid flow-formed 18×7-inch matte-black TRD alloy wheels with Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail all-terrain tires. The tires use a unique tread pattern and compound developed to TRD technical requirements, and their rugged, square-shoulder design helps protect against punctures. The tires are Severe Snow Rated, with open shoulder grooving to shed debris, mud and snow.
Exterior styling includes an exclusive two-tone Magnetic Gray Metallic with Ice Edge Roof combination accented by dark gray front and rear lower fascias, and standard front LED fog lights. The interior offers striking red stitching and red trim to further enhance the TRD Off-Road model’s cabin. Seat surfaces are covered in comfortable Black SofTex®, which is lighter than leather yet highly durable, and the front seats have the TRD logo stitched into the headrests.
2021 RAV4 Prime
The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime breaks ground as the most powerful and quickest RAV4 ever with a starting MSRP of $38,100. The RAV4’s first-ever plug-in model has up to 302 horsepower with an ability to do 0-60 mph in a projected 5.7 seconds, which makes it the quickest four-door model in the Toyota lineup. The RAV4 Prime also has up to an EPA-estimated 42 miles on battery alone on a single charge, making it the highest EV range of any PHEV SUV on the market. The RAV4 Prime also has up to an EPA-estimated 94 combined MPGe. Even more, what sets RAV4 Prime apart is the standard Electronic On-Demand AWD.
Toyota engineered the 2021 RAV4 Prime for the performance-oriented driver and is therefore offering it in the sporty SE and XSE grades. The SE grade is new for the RAV4 Prime, and the XSE is currently exclusive to the RAV4 Hybrid.
The SE flaunts its sporty attitude with 18-in. painted and machined alloy wheels and an exclusive front grille design with a front lower spoiler. Piano black exterior accents and a painted grille/diffuser complete the premium look. The SE’s equipment is quite comprehensive, with standard:
The available Weather & Moonroof Package (+$1,665 upgrade) is chock-full with upgrades like a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats and rain-sensing windshield wipers with de-icer function, for added convenience.
As on the current RAV4 Hybrid XSE, the Prime version (starting MSRP of $41,425) of this grade stands apart with an available two-tone exterior paint scheme pairing a black roof with select colors, including the striking new-to-RAV4 Supersonic Red. Other standard features include:
The standard Audio Plus system comes with a 9-in. touch-screen, the largest ever offered on a RAV4. There is also an available Premium Audio multimedia system that includes Dynamic Navigation (3-year trial included) and JBL speaker system.
Available options for the XSE grade include:
2021 RAV4 – Standard
The RAV4, with the new generation designed to embody a style and persona inspired by the brand’s tough trucks while also amplifying the desirable traits of a crossover, continues to be the best-selling model and the best-selling non-pickup small SUV vehicle in America for the past three years.
All RAV4 models include multimedia capability with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa compatibility. All grades for both gas and Hybrid include standard SiriusXM® with a three-month all-access trial.
Equipment and option packages enhance value in the RAV4 XLE, Adventure and Limited grades. In the XLE and XLE Hybrid, a power driver’s seat is standard. The available Weather Package, available on both FWD and AWD XLE, includes Heated front seats, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a windshield wiper de-icer.
The RAV4 Adventure grade includes a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and the available Convenience Package, which includes the power liftgate and power moonroof.
The Limited grade models include Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation, an 8.0-in touchscreen and 11 JBL® speakers as standard equipment. This system provides an in-vehicle concert experience with an 800-watt amplifier playing through 11 speakers across 8 channels. Among highlights are A-pillar horn tweeters and a ported subwoofer. JBL® systems remain optional for other RAV4 model grades (XLE Premium, TRD Off-Road and XSE Hybrid).
Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), standard on all 2021 RAV4 models, groups a long roster of active-safety technologies and capabilities:
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system are standard on the higher grades, including the RAV4 TRD Off-Road. Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking (PA w/AB), an additional safety option, includes audible and visual warnings, and in certain conditions may automatically apply the brakes when there is a possibility of contact with a stationary object or vehicle.
Form and Function, Happy Together
Designed to tackle urban, suburban and outdoor adventures with equal aplomb, the Toyota’s fifth-generation RAV4 has brought more sport and more utility to one of the auto industry’s most competitive segments. The robust Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform allows RAV4 to adopt the charisma of a bolder and tougher SUV, but in a package that is lower and wider than the previous model.
The wheelbase and front and rear tracks provide a stable, confident drive, while the front and rear overhangs aid RAV4’s trail-driving capability. The RAV4’s chiseled appearance conveys athleticism, with a strong nose leading into a dynamic profile with robust shoulders and available 19-inch wheels.
The high-strength unibody chassis is 57 percent more rigid than the previous generation, and RAV4’s optimally-tuned front strut and rear multilink suspension systems enhance agility while also delivering a smoother ride. Toyota’s secret ingredient in chassis tuning is a group of takumi (highly-trained master craftsmen) that focused exclusively on developing the vehicle to act and react as the driver intends and expects, even in extreme weather and road conditions.
The Power to Choose
The 2021 RAV4 LE, XLE, XLE Premium and Limited grades are available with a choice of gas or gas/electric hybrid powertrains, while the Adventure and TRD Off-Road grades only offer the gas engine. Both powertrains deliver an exceptional blend of performance and fuel efficiency. The Dynamic Force 2.5-liter, 203-horsepower 4-cylinder engine is paired with an 8-speed Direct-Shift automatic transmission with an EPA-estimated 27 mpg city / 35 mpg highway / 30 combined MPG (LE FWD). The transmission uses direct-lock up in gears two through eight to eliminate power loss from the torque converter while executing ideal, smooth shifts.
The gas engine employs high-speed combustion technology, reduced friction and a variable control system to reduce energy losses associated with cooling and exhaust systems. The result is a stunning 40-percent thermal efficiency (41- percent for hybrids).
The LE, XLE and XLE Premium grades offer optional All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Control and Rear Driveline Disconnect. The system can direct up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels. When AWD isn’t needed, such as on long highway stretches, the system disconnects, optimizing fuel efficiency.
For maximum capability and off-road prowess, Adventure and TRD Off-Road models come standard with Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect. In addition to directing up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels, this system can also direct more torque to the left or right rear wheel to enhance on- or off-pavement handling. The Limited model is offered in both Front-Wheel Drive as well as an optional Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect.
The Remarkable 40 Combined MPG for RAV4 Hybrid
In any RAV4 Hybrid, the Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) works in sync with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine to make the Hybrid models performance and efficiency leaders of the RAV4 family, with an EPA-estimated 41/38/40 MPG. It is truly the no-compromise compact SUV.
In the Hybrid models, a Continuously-Variable Transmission (CVT) is exclusively paired with an e-AWD, making it possible to operate at all vehicle speeds. An improvement from previous generation, the rear axle motor operates proactively anytime rear torque would be beneficial to keep the vehicle on the driver’s intended line, or when conditions get slippery. The e-AWD system uses an independent electric motor at the rear wheels, rather than a torque-distribution system in the transmission and additional driveshaft to the rear.
XSE Hybrid is RAV4 Flagship Model
The RAV4 XSE Hybrid’s sport-tuned suspension, with tauter springs and shock absorbers also yields sporty on-road handling.
Projector-beam LED headlamps, exclusive to the Hybrid XLE grade and above, produce brighter, sharper, and ideally-angled illumination. The standard two-tone exterior paint scheme pairs a black roof with Blizzard Pearl, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, or Blueprint body colors. Piano-black accents across the front end, mirror caps, fender arches, and lower rocker panels set the stage for XSE Hybrid’s sporty appeal. Its exclusive interior features black Softex® material and blue accents throughout.
RAV4 Adventure Delivers What the Badge Says
For those who don’t need quite the high-level trail capability of the TRD Off-Road model, the RAV4 Adventure delivers much of the style and function, including 8.6-in. ground clearance and standard Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect and Multi-Terrain Select.
Like the TRD Off-Road, the RAV4 Adventure grade can be equipped with an Ice Edge-colored roof that is paired with the Midnight Black Metallic, Blue Flame or Lunar Rock exterior colors. Inside, seat finishes come in either Black or a Mocha- colored Softex®. Orange stitching accents the interior with additional orange appointments placed throughout the dashboard.
Limited Means Luxury and Style
The RAV4 Limited brings a taste of the luxury vehicle life to this high-capability compact SUV. Its 19-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents set it apart from the other models, though it’s inside the cabin where the Limited steals the show. Standard features include a front-row moonroof and heated 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory and 2-way lumbar support.
Tech-wise, RAV4 Limited comes standard with a 7-inch Multi-Information Display (MID). This also comes standard on XSE and is available on XLE Premium, AG and TRD Off-Road. The Digital Rearview Mirror was the first in any Toyota vehicle in North America in 2019. It functions as a conventional rearview mirror, but with the flip of a switch, it displays what’s behind the vehicle, relaying the image from a high-mounted, adjustable wide-angle, high-definition camera.
Optional premium comfort content includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a larger, panoramic moonroof. The available hands-free power liftgate opens with a wave of a foot below the rear bumper.
Elegance Comes to the Compact SUV
In all RAV4 models, the interior offers elevated sophistication with a premium, modern design and uncomplicated layout. The shifter emerges from a smooth boot, and the HVAC knobs in the center panel provide outstanding tactility. The center console features a standard Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) for easy accessibility.
Handy storage abounds in the RAV4, including the console’s large volume, side-by-side cup holders, and an open tray capable of holding small items. In addition, an in-dash tray within easy reach of the front passenger can hold electronics, sunglasses, and other travel must-haves.
Rear seat passengers will appreciate the spacious cabin thanks to an increase in left and right couple distance and legroom compared to the previous-generation RAV4. The rear cargo area features a reversible liner as well as side nets for storing small items. The 60/40 folding rear seats easily expand the rear cargo area.
Advanced Multimedia
Every RAV4 is equipped with Toyota Multimedia including SiriusXM® and Wi-Fi Connect and hands-free access to Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa compatibility. The standard Audio system uses a 7-inch touchscreen perched atop the center stack and functions as the display for the standard rear backup camera. Audio Plus adds an 8-inch touchscreen, while Premium Audio includes integrated dynamic navigation and JBL®.
Enhancing multimedia features, RAV4 can be equipped with up to five total USB ports in the front and rear rows, plus an optional Qi wireless charging tray positioned at the front of the center console. The available JBL® Audio incorporates an enhanced system architecture and speaker design. The result is an all-access pass to an intimate in-vehicle concert experience.
2021 RAV4 Pricing

]]>How Does It Do That?
Toyota hybrids have for years demonstrated high performance with low fuel consumption, and now the 2021 RAV4 Prime makes one of the strongest cases yet. The RAV4 Prime uses a differently tuned version of the RAV4 Hybrid’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle gas engine. It produces the same projected 176 hp as in the hybrid, but paired with the electric motors, total system output equals 302 horsepower.
The RAV4 Prime’s passenger space isn’t compromised by the larger Lithium-Ion battery, as it is mounted under the floor. The mounting position also gives the RAV4 Prime a low center of gravity and enhanced driving stability.
The RAV4 Prime’s enhanced heat pump HVAC system, based on Prius Prime’s and tailored to fit RAV4 Prime, contributes to an increasing EV range, as energy consumption for cabin temperature control can significantly decrease EV driving range.
Versatility + Street-Smart
The RAV4 Prime employs the same version of Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) as the RAV4 Hybrid. In both models, a separate rear-mounted electric motor powers the rear wheels when needed, including proactively on acceleration startup and also in reduced-traction conditions.
The AWD system also reduces understeer during cornering for enhanced steering stability. Off-pavement, AWD enhances hill-climbing performance. A driver-selectable Trail mode makes it possible to get unstuck by braking a spinning wheel and sending torque to the grounding wheel.
With available paddle shifters, the driver can “downshift” to increase the regenerative braking in steps, which fosters greater control when driving in hilly areas, for example.
As on the RAV4 Hybrid, the innovative Predictive Efficient Drive feature acts like an invisible “hyper-miler” co-driver. Using the available navigation system, Predictive Efficient Drive essentially reads the road and learns driver patterns to optimize hybrid battery charging and discharging operations based on driving conditions. The system accumulates data as the vehicle is driven and “remembers” road features such as hills and stoplights and adjusts the hybrid powertrain operation to maximize efficiency.
Sporty and Sportier
Toyota engineered the 2021 RAV4 Prime for the performance-oriented driver and is therefore offering it in the sporty SE and XSE grades. The SE grade is new for the RAV4 Prime, and the XSE is currently exclusive to the RAV4 Hybrid.
SE Grade
The SE flaunts its sporty attitude with 18-in. painted and machined alloy wheels and an exclusive front grille design with a front lower spoiler. Piano black exterior accents and a painted grille/diffuser complete the premium look. The SE’s equipment is quite comprehensive, with standard:
The available Weather & Moonroof Package (+$1,665 upgrade) is chock-full with upgrades like a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats and rain-sensing windshield wipers with de-icer function, for added convenience.
XSE Grade
As on the current RAV4 Hybrid XSE, the Prime version (starting MSRP of $41,425) of this grade stands apart with an available two-tone exterior paint scheme pairing a black roof with select colors, including the striking new-to-RAV4 Supersonic Red. Other standard features include:
The standard Audio Plus system comes with a 9-in. touch-screen, the largest ever offered on a RAV4. There is also an available Premium Audio multimedia system that includes Dynamic Navigation (3-year trial included) and JBL speaker system.
Available options for the XSE grade include:
Safety
All Toyota RAV4 models come equipped with standard Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), which groups a long roster of active-safety technologies and capabilities:
The XSE Premium Package adds Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) and Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automated Braking (PA w/AB).
Priced Just Right

]]>In 2019, the RAV4 Hybrid had its best sales year to date, up 92.3 percent, and helped the RAV4 become the best-selling SUV in a calendar year. With the addition of the RAV4 Hybrid to its manufacturing mix, TMMK now produces four electrified vehicles, including the Avalon Hybrid, Camry Hybrid and Lexus ES 300h.
“We are excited to see the past nine months of preparation come to life with the completion of our first Kentucky-built 2020 RAV4 Hybrid,” said TMMK President Susan Elkington. “This milestone would not have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated team members and our recent investments. We are proud to offer an alternative powertrain for each of the products we currently build and couldn’t be happier to add the popular RAV4 Hybrid to that list.”
By 2025, Toyota’s global goal is to offer an electrified option (hybrid, plug-in, fuel cell, battery) on all Toyota and Lexus models. Currently, Toyota sells more alternative powertrain vehicles than the rest of the industry combined, with sales reaching around 13 percent of volume in the U.S.
TMMK is Toyota’s largest plant in the world with more than nine million square feet of floor space, more than 8,000 full-time team members and represents a $7-billion investment.

]]>The HPMA are presented by the Hispanic Motor Press Foundation and recognize the most significant automobiles in the market, and the best in their class, as they meet the needs and desires of Hispanic families. The foundation’s advisory board selected an independent panel of jurors comprised of Hispanic automotive journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers to evaluate over 250 new model vehicles in the running for the awards.
“Family safety is one of our main factors in determining a winner. The RAV4 has one of the best performing systems,” said Ricardo Rodriguez-Long,
President of the Hispanic Motor Press. “We like the roominess of this new generation and the integration of mobile technology. Historically, the RAV4 has maintained a very high resale value and this new model will be no different. These features in addition to the uncompromised safety and technology makes the RAV4 the best overall package in its class.”
Designed to embody a style and persona inspired by the brand’s tough trucks, the RAV4 was also designed to amplify the desirable traits of a crossover: interior comfort, agile handling, a smooth ride and exemplary fuel efficiency. New for 2020 includes the addition of the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road, outfitted with a full array of special Toyota Racing Development engineering and design features for greater trail-driving capability and standout style. Also new for 2020, all RAV4 models expand multimedia capability with Android Auto added to the Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa compatibility. The LE and XLE grades, both gas and Hybrid, gain standard SiriusXM® with a three-month trial, which was already standard on the higher grades – adding even more features for a tech-savvy driver.

]]>It just happens to also be the first-ever RAV4 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). And so, in addition to an ability to do 0-60 mph in a projected 5.8 seconds, which is the second quickest acceleration time in the Toyota lineup, it can drive an estimated 39 miles on battery alone on a single charge, which is the highest EV range of any PHEV SUV on the market. The RAV4 Prime also has a manufacturer-estimated 90 combined MPGe. Welcome to a new chapter of Toyota SUV performance.
The Toyota RAV4 Prime, a 2021 model that will arrive in summer 2020, breaks ground as the most powerful and quickest RAV4 ever while also being the most fuel-efficient.
The 2021 RAV4 Prime will be available in SE and XSE grades, both emphasizing athletic on-road performance and premium comfort and style. With its plug-in hybrid technology advancing, Toyota sees such vehicles as critical to an overall electrification strategy that will also include standard hybrids and battery electric vehicles (BEVs), along with fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) like the second-generation Mirai unveiled in October.
Think Faster
The Toyota RAV4 Prime builds on the RAV4 Hybrid, which is currently the most powerful and most fuel-efficient model in the line with sales up 72% over last year and currently the best-selling hybrid vehicle on the market. The RAV4 Prime amplifies both performance and efficiency, reflecting Toyota’s 20+ years of hybrid vehicle leadership.
With more powerful motor-generators, a newly developed high-capacity Lithium-Ion battery and a booster converter, the 2021 RAV4 Prime yields an 83-horsepower (hp) jump in total system output over the RAV4 Hybrid and has the most horsepower in its segment. The resulting boost in performance is striking: Toyota projects 0-60 mph acceleration in 5.8 seconds which is quicker than the RAV4 Hybrid (7.8 sec.) and in a league with luxury/performance SUVs that come nowhere near this Toyota’s remarkable fuel economy. And, notably, the RAV4 Prime uses regular-grade gasoline — just not much of it.
A comparison with an older RAV4 offers a vivid illustration of the march of technology. The 2006-2012 RAV4 offered an optional 269-hp, 3.5-liter gas V6 engine that reached 0-60 mph in 6.3-seconds, which is a half-second slower than the RAV4 Prime. And, that model’s 21 combined MPG fuel economy rating simply pales in comparison.
Sporty and Sportier
Toyota engineered the 2021 RAV4 Prime for the performance-oriented driver and is therefore offering it in the sporty SE and XSE grades. Multi-Information Display, Blind Spot Monitor, a leather steering wheel and shift knob with red stitching, power liftgate, and Audio with 8-in. touch-screen and Amazon Alexa, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The available Weather & Moonroof Package lets in the sun, moon and stars while keeping the cold at bay with a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, and windshield wiper de-icer, while rain-sensing windshield wipers add to convenience.
As on the current RAV4 Hybrid XSE, the Prime version of this grade stands apart with a two-tone exterior paint scheme pairing a black roof with select colors, including the striking new-to-RAV4 Supersonic Red. Exclusive 19-in. alloy wheels, the largest ever offered on a hybrid RAV4, have a unique two-tone design. Vertical LED accent lights give the XSE a distinct look, while the optional Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) with headlamp auto-leveling partially aims the beams into turns as the driver steers.
Inside, XSE steps up the sport, luxury and tech with RAV4’s first-ever paddle shifters, along with moonroof, unique SofTex synthetic leather seat surfaces, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated garage door opener and the largest multimedia screen in any RAV4 ever. The standard Audio Plus system comes with a 9-in. touch-screen and there is an available Premium Audio that includes Dynamic Navigation and JBL speaker system.
An available Premium Package pushes the RAV4 Prime XSE further with Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation and JBL speakers, perforated and ventilated SofTex front seats, RAV4’s first head-up display, heated rear SofTex outboard seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic moonroof, digital rear-view mirror, memory driver’s seat, 4-way power passenger seat, 5-door SmartKey system, kick-type power rear liftgate, Bird’s Eye View Monitor and yes, more.

The XSE Premium Package adds Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) and Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automated Braking (PA w/AB).
Starting with the 2020 model year, every Toyota Hybrid Battery Warranty has been increased from 8 years or 100,000 miles to 10 years from original date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

]]>The post 2020 Toyota RAV4 Offers A New TRD Off-Road Model and Multimedia Enhancements appeared first on Toyota USA Newsroom.
]]>The 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road is the next logical step in that evolution. It’s the latest member of Toyota’s esteemed TRD family, which includes off-road-capable pickups and SUVs, along with the recently added performance-tuned Camry and Avalon TRD sport sedans.
After making the RAV4 its best-selling model and the best-selling non-pickup small SUV vehicle in America for the past two years, Toyota broke the segment mold yet again with the new generation RAV4. Designed to embody a style and persona inspired by the brand’s tough trucks, the RAV4 was also designed to amplify the desirable traits of a crossover: interior comfort, agile handling, a smooth ride and exemplary fuel efficiency.
Also new for 2020, all RAV4 models expand multimedia capability with Android Auto added to the Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa compatibility. The LE and XLE grades, both gas and Hybrid, gain standard SiriusXM® with a three-month trial, which was already standard on the higher grades.
Reconfigured equipment and option packages enhance value in the RAV4 XLE, Adventure and Limited grades. In the XLE and XLE Hybrid, a power driver’s seat is now standard. Heated front seats are moved from the Convenience Package to the Weather Package, which also includes a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a windshield wiper de-icer. Formerly available only on the all-wheel drive model, this package is now also available for the front-wheel drive XLE to provide even more options.
The RAV4 Adventure grade gains a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and now also offers the Convenience Package, which includes the power liftgate and power moonroof.
The Limited grade models add the JBL® Audio package to the standard equipment roster. This system provides an in-vehicle concert experience with an 800-watt amplifier playing through 11 speakers across 8 channels. Among highlights are A-pillar horn tweeters and a ported subwoofer. JBL® system remains optional for other RAV4 model grades (XLE Premium, Adventure Grade, TRD Off-Road and XSE Hybrid).
Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0), standard on all 2020 RAV4 models, groups a long roster of active-safety technologies and capabilities:
Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system are standard on the higher grades, including the new RAV4 TRD Off-Road. Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automated Braking (PA w/AB) are also additional safety options.
Form and Function, Happy Together
Designed to tackle urban, suburban and outdoor adventures with equal aplomb, the Toyota’s fifth-generation RAV4 brought more sport and more utility to one of the auto industry’s most competitive segments.
The 2020 RAV4 LE, XLE and Limited grades are available with a choice of gas or gas/electric hybrid powertrains, while the Adventure and TRD Off-Road grades only offer the gas engine.
In the Hybrid models, a Continuously-Variable Transmission (CVT) is exclusively paired with a new e-AWD, making it possible to operate at all vehicle speeds.
The RAV4 XSE Hybrid takes the mantle as the top of the RAV4 lineup, with the most striking design. Its sport-tuned suspension, with tauter springs and shock absorbers, also yields the sportiest on-road handling in the RAV4 family.
Projector-beam LED headlamps, exclusive to the Hybrid XLE grade and above, produce brighter, sharper, and ideally-angled illumination. The standard two-tone exterior paint scheme pairs a black roof with Blizzard Pearl, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, or Blueprint body colors. Piano-black accents across the front end, mirror caps, fender arches, and lower rocker panels set the stage for XSE Hybrid’s sporty appeal. Its exclusive interior features black Softex® material and blue accents throughout.
First-Ever RAV4 TRD Off-Road Model
The TRD Off-Road echoes the persona of Toyota’s legendary off-road racers. The RAV4 TRD Off-Road model shares high-rise roof rails, large over-fenders, and aggressive bumper and grille designs and fog light surrounds with the RAV4 Adventure grade, but with a TRD personality.
Building on the 8.6-inch ground clearance of the RAV4 Adventure, the TRD Off-Road goes above and beyond with suspension, wheels and tires engineered specifically for rugged trail driving.
Inspired by TRD’s expertise gained from Ryan Millen’s Rally RAV4, the TRD Off-Road model’s suspension is engineered to enhance body control and small-bump isolation to help smooth out trails and rough city streets. Exclusive red-colored coil springs are tuned for an off-road focus. The twin-tube shocks are re-valved and feature internal rebound springs to improve control. New bump stops maximize compression-direction wheel travel and help improve body control over large bumps and dips.
The 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road exclusively rolls on lighter and more rigid flow-formed 18×7-inch matte-black TRD alloy wheels with Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail all-terrain tires. The tires use a unique tread pattern and compound developed to TRD technical requirements, and their rugged, square-shoulder design helps protect against punctures. The tires are Severe Snow Rated, with open shoulder grooving to shed debris, mud and snow.
Using standard Multi-Terrain Select, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road driver can maximize traction by matching the drive mode to the conditions: Mud & Sand for beach driving, Rock & Dirt for trails, and Snow for wintery conditions. The RAV4 TRD Off-Road is in addition equipped with Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Trailer Sway Control (TSC), and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) for on-road and off-road performance and safety. The Multi-Information Display (MID) shows torque allocation and slip-control data.
Available in an exclusive two-tone Magnetic Gray Metallic with Ice Edge Roof combination, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road is accented by dark gray front and rear lower fascias, and front LED fog lights are standard. TRD Off-Road is also available in Midnight Black or Lunar Rock, both available with the optional Ice Edge Roof. Other available colors include Ruby Flare Pearl and Super White.
Striking red stitching and red trim accent the TRD Off-Road model’s cabin. Seat surfaces are covered in comfortable Black SofTex®, which is lighter than leather yet highly durable, and the front seats have the TRD logo stitched into the headrests. Exclusive TRD all-weather floor mats and rear cargo mat capture the mud, sand and water dragged in from the outside and easily shake out for cleanup.
This also comes standard on XSE and is available on XLE Premium, AG and TRD Off-Road the Digital Rearview Mirror was the first in any Toyota vehicle in North America in 2019.
Every RAV4 is equipped with Toyota Multimedia including SiriusXM® and Wi-Fi Connect powered by Verizon and hands-free access to Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
The available JBL® Audio incorporates an enhanced system architecture, new speaker design, and an improved tuning process. The result is an all-access pass to an intimate in-vehicle concert experience.
The RAV4’s Full Safety Story
In addition to TSS 2.0, the 2020 RAV4 is equipped with Toyota’s Star Safety System, which includes Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Smart Stop Technology (SST). Available safety technologies include Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Bird’s Eye View Camera, Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS), and Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB) system.
Limited Warranty and ToyotaCare
Toyota’s 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and corrosion with no mileage limitation. The RAV4 also comes standard with ToyotaCare, a plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, and 24-hour roadside assistance for 2 years, unlimited mileage.

]]>To celebrate the purchase of the 6 millionth Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV), Toyota Motor North America presented Reyes with a check for the value of the RAV4. The automaker, along with Southeast Toyota Distributors, a subsidiary of locally owned automotive corporation JM Family Enterprises, and Palm Beach Toyota, also each made a $5,000 donation in her name to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, a nonpartisan organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the U.S. In addition, Sirius XM is providing one year of complimentary streaming service and CarFax has donated a gas gift card valued at $1,000.
“I come from a hardworking family and had to leave school to help pay for some of our everyday expenses and bills, but this incredible gift from Toyota will allow me to complete my bachelor’s degree sooner than expected,” said Reyes. “My family has owned several Toyotas in the past but my new RAV4 is already the best one yet!”
This major TCUV sales milestone comes more than 23 years after Toyota’s entrance into the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) industry. During that time, TCUV has grown to become the leader in the segment and now ranks as the highest volume CPO program in the industry. In an effort to continue its leadership, Toyota recently launched significant changes to the TCUV program, including new branding and an enhanced limited powertrain warranty. This warranty extends coverage to seven years following the TCUV purchase date or 100,000 total vehicle miles.
“Hitting the 6 millionth certified used vehicle milestone is a testament to not only the great warranty and coverage we offer, but, more importantly, to our customers who appreciate good value and reliability,” said Ron Cooney, manager of TCUV operations at Toyota. “We hope Toyota’s enhanced warranty coverage will continue to attract loyal customers like Marisol and her family, who rely on our vehicles for their livelihood.”
A special ceremony was held at Palm Beach Toyota on Wednesday, July 24. Representatives from Toyota presented Reyes with her gifts and hosted a celebratory luncheon for dealership personnel.

]]>The post RAV4 Design: Adding Excitement to the Segment appeared first on Toyota USA Newsroom.
]]>Toyota created the compact crossover SUV segment with the original RAV4 more than two decades ago. An all-new type of vehicle, RAV4 combined SUV capabilities with passenger car ride, handling and fuel economy traits. It was a winning formula, leading to explosive market growth.
In recent years, automakers smoothed out compact SUV design, adopting more passenger car-like traits. Toyota, the segment leader with nearly 408,000 RAV4 sales in the U.S. in 2017, saw a need to break the mold it had cast. Considering that RAV4 is the brand’s best-selling vehicle in the U.S., this was no small feat.
“At the very beginning of the design process, we reviewed RAV4’s distinct product value and considered how best to evolve the original concept of ‘an off-road vehicle built for urban environments that’s a pleasure to drive and look at,’ says RAV4 Chief Engineer Yoshikazu Saeki. “We came to define ‘Adventure & Refinement’ as the design concept for the fifth generation.”
Adventure is the suggestion of being able to drive just about anywhere you want. Refinement means a sophisticated design that fits in urban situations.
“Just looking at the new RAV4 ignites the urge to get in and go somewhere,” says Saeki.
He explains that, while Toyota aimed the new RAV4 at young couples, singles or those just starting a family, Saeki also acknowledges that there’s a RAV4 for everyone!
New Look, Familiar Face
At first glance, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 looks radically different than its predecessors, and yet there is also quick familiarity when viewed from the front. The grille shape, for example, takes some inspiration from tough Toyota off-road pickups.
It’s a look that connotes strength and capability, but for RAV4, this was no mere adaptation. Designers created an entirely new theme, based on everyone’s favorite high school subject, geometry. The result is a distinctly carved look, with bold body sculpting to create a “go anywhere” stance.
The sculpted, three-dimensional theme is a dramatic turn away from soft, curvy SUV shapes. It’s meant to draw a strong emotional response and a feeling of adventure. That adventure could be heading off on a weekend of hiking or kayaking, or just playing tourist in your own city.
It’s about the feeling of adventure as much as it is about the experience. Think about it: this is not much different from the emotional response to a sports car design, which is meant to evoke driving thrills even when parked.
Octagons
Those who actually enjoyed geometry in high school will appreciate how the new RAV4 design came together. It was, in a word, octagons. Two octagons intersect at a 90-degree angle to create a wide front stance and a look of enhanced utility in the rear. (Utility is actually enhanced, so it’s no illusion.) Each body panel has a sophisticated, chiseled appearance that combines athleticism and charisma.
The front octagon shape flows through bold character lines from the doors to the bumper corners, making a powerful and tough impression. Meanwhile, the two-tiered trapezoidal grille enhances the muscular, forward-leaning body, emphasizing its wide and stable stance.
Long, narrow headlamps, framed by a polygonal motif, convey a sense of enhanced width, while line-illumination adds to the sharpness of the front (Actual vehicle width is increased by 0.40 inches.). All gas RAV4 models come standard with Bi-LED parabola headlamps and daytime running lamps. Exclusive to RAV4 HV models on XLE and above, projector-beam LED headlamps with signature LED daytime running lights (on XLE and above) produce a more premium light source.
The octagonal silhouette of the rear body mirrors that of the front. Similarly, a trapezoidal shape radiates from the license plate garnish and flows across the rear combination lamps and through the bumper and tires towards the front. This “cross octagon” modeling creates an iconic motif, establishing a presence that stands out, excites, and invites.
The result is a design that emphasizes SUV character while looking nothing like the boxy, utilitarian shapes of past SUVs.
Lift Off
A critical element to the new RAV4 design is the “lifted up” look. While actually lowering vehicle height by a fraction (0.20 inches), the designers have created the feeling of riding higher. That, too, is no illusion. Road clearance has actually been increased by over a half-inch.
The lifted-up look is emphasized by the black lower body that flows from the side and runs up towards the rear. With their polygonal motifs, the wheel arches appear to hold the tires from a high position, emphasizing the lifted-up body and drawing attention to the vehicle’s capability. This theme is seen most prominently on the Adventure and Limited grades, with their 19-inch wheels and the Adventure grade’s large black overfenders. At the rear, the protective parts and muffler are arranged to produce a clear appearance and sense of stability.
In line with the “Cross Octagon” theme, polygonal shapes are seen throughout the interior, expressing a sense of unity with the exterior.
Aerodynamics: Form with Function
RAV4 is not all about form; there is enhanced function in the aerodynamics, including the slight reduction in vehicle height. The angular rear combination lamp design not only suggests stability, it contributes to stability via aero stabilizing fins on the outer lenses. The new shape of the exterior door handles also help out in that regard. At the rear of the roof, a large spoiler and side fins contribute to aerodynamic performance.
Aerodynamic enhancements are at work even where one can’t readily see: a full under cover for enhanced aerodynamic performance, for example.
Color Me Adventurous
The 2019 RAV4 design uses color to spark emotions. To accentuate its rugged persona, the Adventure grade can be ordered with an Ice Edge-colored roof (at an extra cost) that is paired with one of three exterior colors: Midnight Black Metallic and Blue Flame are both new for RAV4; Lunar Rock is new to the Toyota lineup and makes its first appearance on RAV4. Lunar Rock conveys sophistication and strength, evoking off-road imagery, and the two-tone arrangement takes inspiration from Toyota’s FJ-40 Land Cruiser and more recent FJ Cruiser off-road icons.
The RAV4 XSE HV’s look is unique, too, with piano-black accents across the front end, mirror caps, fender arches, and lower rockers to convey a refined urban image. The Limited grade connotes sporty elegance with silver trim, unique gray metallic-colored grille, 19-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents.

¡A conducir!

]]>The post All-New 2019 Toyota RAV4 Serves Up a Breakthrough Debut at New York International Auto Show appeared first on Toyota USA Newsroom.
]]>NEW YORK, March 28, 2018 – All the stops have been pulled for the world debut of the all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4. The vehicle that created the small sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment makes its fifth-generation debut at the New York International Auto Show.
Over the years, Toyota has listened to owners and dealers and it has paid off. Over the last five years, RAV4 volume has doubled, which speaks profoundly to the segment’s attractiveness and growth, and ultimately, RAV4’s popularity. RAV4 currently ranks as the number-one-selling vehicle in the Toyota lineup, as well as the best-selling non-pickup-truck in the country.
No matter the grade, every RAV4 is a winning choice, whether it’s for a city exploration, a weekend trip to the countryside, or a jaunt on the trails. When it becomes available in the winter at the end of 2018 (with hybrid models right behind in early 2019), we predict that the all-new RAV4 will premiere, yet again, at the forefront—both for the Toyota brand and the segment.
Get Up and Go!
For the all-new RAV4, designers kept in mind design elements of Adventure and Refined to allow owners to get up and go in their RAV4, no matter the time or place. An emphasis was placed on maximizing the presence of a small SUV while maintaining high levels of finesse inside and out.
Each body panel has a sophisticated twist to it, with a chiseled appearance that is a perfect combination of athleticism and charisma. The stronger nose leads into a more dynamic profile, robust shoulders, and available 19-inch wheels, making for a powerful stance ready to tackle any road, any time.
The implementation of the TNGA platform allows RAV4 to adopt the charisma of a bolder and tougher SUV, but in a package that is lower and wider. The longer wheelbase and wider front and rear tracks provide a stable, confident driving platform. For off-road prowess, the shorter front and rear overhangs will aid in RAV4’s ability to overcome rugged terrain.
The unibody chassis is 57 percent more rigid than the outgoing version. RAV4 incorporates an optimally tuned multi-link rear suspension, providing ideal damping for handling, minimum interior cabin noise, and the utmost ride comfort. Ground clearance has been increased by more than half an inch, yet RAV4 is able to achieve improved aerodynamics.
The relocated side mirrors are now positioned lower on the door for increased forward visibility around the A-pillar. Side visibility is increased thanks to a lowered beltline and the redesigned and enlarged rear-quarter glass assists with rear-diagonal visibility.

Unparalleled Driving Experience with More Power, MPG and Capabilities
Engineers worked for about four years to fine-tune every aspect of RAV4’s performance, handling stability and ride comfort. The end goal was simple: engineer a driving experience that is Confident and Natural.
This unmatched performance was realized thanks to a group of takumi—highly-trained master craftsmen—who strived to develop a vehicle that acts and reacts as the driver intends, even in extreme weather and road conditions. Including the takumi in the development process was just another layer of enhancement to the overall design approach led by the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) philosophy. These master craftsmen focused on working together to improve vehicle performance at various stages of the development process to deliver an ever-better RAV4.
The power source for RAV4’s driving abilities comes from one of two powertrains:
The takumi were precise with the development of RAV4’s structure and configuration to achieve an increase in performance as a whole. The engine utilizes high-speed combustion technology and a variable control system for greater thermal efficiency output, which reduces energy losses associated with exhaust and cooling systems and the movement of mechanical parts, among other factors. With a 40-percent thermal efficiency (41 percent for hybrids), the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine is the ideal powerplant for the all-new RAV4 to meet the demand of providing a highly responsive, yet fuel efficient driving experience. The Direct Shift-8AT transmission provides direct lock-up from gears two through eight to eliminate power loss from the torque converter, executing ideal smooth shifts.
The Toyota-first, Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect, is nothing short of impressive, and enables drivers to steer the vehicle as intended, even atop the toughest of roads.
Standard on AWD-equipped Limited gas and Adventure grade models, Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect can send 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels, plus distribute it to the left or right rear wheel for improved handling. When AWD isn’t required (on long stretches of highway, for example), RAV4 can achieve better fuel economy thanks to the Rear Driveline Disconnect system. The disconnection features the world’s first ratchet-type dog clutches on both the front and rear wheel shafts. These clutches stop the driveshaft’s rotations, thus transmitting the driving force to the front wheels when AWD isn’t required, significantly reducing energy loss, improving fuel efficiency, and reducing rotational vibration making for a smoother ride.
This all-new AWD system is one of three available on the all-new RAV4; it joins the AWD-i system available on hybrid grades and the (non-Dynamic Torque Vectoring) AWD system available on core gas grades.
When paired with the new All-Wheel Drive with Intelligence (AWD-i), RAV4 Hybrid increases the total torque to the rear wheels—which is electronically driven—by 30 percent compared to the current generation AWD-i system. By adopting a new control system that optimally distributes torque to the rear wheels based on the driving conditions, the new AWD-i system offers high off-road performance, handling, and ability.
RAV4’s unparalleled driving experience is just one of the ways the all-new RAV4 exceeds expectations for owners, the segment, and the industry.
XSE Hybrid: The Sportiest RAV4
For those who prefer sportier driving dynamics, XSE Hybrid stays ready with the perfect conflation of sport and utility. XSE is an all-new addition to RAV4’s Hybrid family.
The piano-black accents across the front end, mirror caps, fender arches, and lower rockers set the stage for XSE Hybrid’s sporty appeal. Unique to RAV4 Hybrids, projector-beam LED headlamps flank each side of the grille (on XLE and above) for a brighter, sharper, and ideally angled light source.
Standard on all RAV4 Hybrid models, the Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) works in sync with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine for an impressive balance of energy efficiency and supreme power output. Performance-wise, XSE Hybrid is truly the “no compromise” grade thanks to its enhanced power and acceleration. When paired with its sport-tuned suspension having tauter shock absorbers and springs, RAV4 XSE Hybrid takes the throne as the quickest—and best-handling—RAV4 in the lineup.
While driving thrills behind XSE Hybrid’s steering wheel are standard, that’s not all guests get: In any RAV4 Hybrid, drivers can look forward to anticipated class-leading fuel efficiency and increases in horsepower and acceleration, respectively.
On- and Off-Road Fun
For explorers looking to satisfy their outdoorsy cravings, RAV4 Adventure has the capabilities for all types of off-road fun.
RAV4 Adventure is distinguishable among the other grades with its standard high-rise roof rails and large over-fenders. Inspired by Toyota’s off-road vehicle heritage, RAV4 Adventure grade has a more rugged exterior, thanks in part to its more aggressive grille, fog light surrounds, and unique wheel design. It answers the call designers had of Robust with its stout stance, standard Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect, and a reliable and tough functionality that’s apt for any road.
The fun ratchets up once pavement blends into dirt thanks to Multi-Terrain Select. Standard on all AWD-equipped gas RAV4 models, Multi-Terrain Select gives drivers the ability to maximize traction when driving through snow, mud, sand, or rocks. The system is easy to use thanks to a control dial (or buttons) positioned in the center console to the left of the shift knob.
Two-Tone Magnetism
RAV4 XSE Hybrid’s striking personality screams sporty, thanks to its standard two-tone exterior paint scheme. The black roof is paired with either Blizzard Pearl, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, or Blueprint (a new color to the palette). RAV4 XSE Hybrid’s exclusive interior comes mono-spec with black Softex material and blue accents throughout.
RAV4 Adventure grade can be had with an Ice Edge-colored roof that is paired with one of three exterior colors: Midnight Black Metallic or Blue Flame, both of which are new for RAV4; or Lunar Rock, an all-new color to the Toyota lineup that makes its first mission on RAV4. Inside, interior seat finishes come in either black or a grade-exclusive, Mocha-colored Softex, with the latter being a brand-new interior finish in the Toyota lineup. Orange stitching accents the interior with additional orange appointments placed throughout the dashboard.
RAV4 keeps admirers star-struck even when its fitted with additional full-body color options like Super White and Ruby Flare Pearl.
Premium Limited Style
Blissful weekend retreats are the ideal destination when behind the wheel of RAV4 Limited. As the top grade, drivers and passengers will enjoy amenities and features befitting its premium style. At first glance, RAV4 Limited’s 19-inch alloy wheels and chrome accents set it apart from the other grades. Once inside though, Limited’s essence truly takes the stage.
Standard features include a front-row moonroof and 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory and 2-way lumbar support. Tech-wise, RAV4 Limited comes standard with a newly-designed 7-inch Multi-Information Display (MID) and, for the first time in a Toyota vehicle in North America, a Digital Display Rearview Mirror. By default, the display is a conventional rearview mirror but with the flip of a switch, drivers have an increased field of vision coming through the rearview mirror, displaying what is behind the vehicle thanks to a high-mounted, adjustable wide-angle, high-definition camera affixed on the rear of vehicle.
Optional content that enhances the ambiance includes ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a panoramic moonroof. When the weekend’s gear fills both hands, the available hands-free power liftgate helps considerably by opening with a wave of the foot below the rear bumper.
Elevated Cabin Atmospheres
Designers applied the theme of Refined to every detail of the interior cabin, resulting in an impressive arrangement that suits a wide variety of driving experiences and preferences. The interior atmosphere represents an elevated sophistication with a premium, modern design and uncomplicated layout.
Between front passengers sits a center console having a repositioned standard Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) for easier accessibility. Ergonomics have been further enhanced by an increase in the console’s volume, side-by-side cup holders, and an open tray capable of holding small items, with optional Qi wireless charger. The in-dash tray within arm’s reach of front passengers will see its share of electronics, sunglasses, and travel must-haves. A standard smooth boot adorns the top of the shifter, and the HVAC knobs in the center panel are redesigned for improved tactility.
Rear seat passengers will appreciate the spacious back cabin thanks to an increase in left and right couple distance, as well as legroom. The rear cargo area adopts a reversible liner as well as side nets for storing small items and the 60/40 folding rear seats are ready to accommodate essentials like surf boards, suitcases, or camping gear.
Advanced Media with Precise Harmony
Every RAV4 is equipped with Entune 3.0 multimedia including Wi-Fi Connect powered by Verizon, hands-free access to Amazon Alexa, and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The standard Entune 3.0 audio system houses a 7-inch touchscreen that is perched atop the center stack. Entune 3.0 Audio Plus adds an eight-inch touchscreen and Sirius XM Radio. Entune 3.0 Premium Audio enhances the multimedia system with embedded dynamic navigation to help drivers chart their course.
Enhancing onboard multimedia features, RAV4 can be had with up to five USB ports between the front and rear rows and an optional Qi wireless charging tray positioned at the front of the center console.
RAV4’s multimedia setup is complemented by an all-new available JBL audio system. The next-generation premium audio setup incorporates an enhanced system architecture, new speaker design, and an improved tuning process. The result is an all-access pass to the most intimate music concert, all from inside a RAV4.
The available JBL audio system provides harmonious audio via 11 speakers across 8 channels at 800 watts:
