Julia Wada is group vice president, Strategy, Innovation & Transformation at Toyota Financial Services (TFS). Wada serves on the Executive Management Committee and reports to Mark Templin, President, and CEO.
Wada leads strategic transformation initiatives and efforts while also building diverse, inclusive, and engaged teams. She is a team builder and champion of One Toyota initiatives including TFS’ high-performing culture and capabilities. As part of the One Toyota leadership team, Wada led the successful transition of TFS’ headquarters move to Plano.
Wada joined Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) in 1991 as part of the Graduate Management Associate program. At both TMS and TFS, her career has spanned a variety of leadership responsibilities including; product planning, pricing, sales planning, strategic planning, human resources, real estate and facilities, diversity and inclusion, information technology and indirect procurement shared services.
Prior to her Toyota career, Wada worked as a program manager and engineer for Lockheed Missiles & Space Corporation. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley, and her Master of Science degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Wada serves on the board of directors for the Toyota Foundation, a $100 million endowment to support STEM education. She also serves on the boards of the Japan America Society of Dallas Fort Worth and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
