Cindy Wang is group vice president of global initiatives for Toyota Financial Services (TFS). In this role which she assumed in 2022, Wang provides crucial strategic guidance and leadership to Toyota sales finance companies around the world, drawing upon her extensive financial services knowledge spanning multiple disciplines, including her vast experience in global treasury. Wang emphasizes building a flexible and agile organization with an innovative culture by developing and acquiring the right talent, and investing in effective technology solutions. Wang is dedicated to leveraging the scale and skillsets of teams to deliver value most effectively to the entire Toyota organization.

Wang joined TFS in 2005 as a liquidity projects manager, bringing experience in finance, tax, accounting, pension management, fixed income investments, and liquidity management. She was promoted to corporate manager of cash management, operations, and systems in 2010. In 2011, her responsibilities expanded to include treasury risk; again in 2013 to include capital markets, derivatives and rate desk, and sales and trading; and in 2017 to include the TFS vendor management office. Wang was promoted to group vice president, treasury in December of 2017. In her treasury role, Wang was responsible for leading efforts to enhance the company’s liquidity, funding diversification, balance sheet flexibility, and risk management framework to support the long-term growth of the company’s business, as well as weather volatility and uncertainty.

In 2019 Wang’s responsibilities expanded to include the Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) treasury function and the TMNA indirect procurement function, forming two shared services groups to deliver enhanced enterprise value to Toyota. In 2020, Wang was appointed to chair the global funding committee for the TFS group of international companies. In 2021, Wang was tapped to lead the TFS accounting, tax, and accounting systems functions, and also oversee the procurement function that provides shared services for TFS and TMNA.

Wang received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from the University of California Los Angeles, and her MBA in Finance and Investments from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. She holds Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant (inactive) designations.
