TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) will display 45 concept and production vehicles, in separate Toyota and Lexus brand booths, at the 7th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition (also known as Auto Guangzhou 2009), to be held at the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from November 23 to 30. The theme for the two booths is “The Environment, Safety, and the Future”.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., (TMS) has generously donated a 2010 Toyota Tundra to the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® Program. The full-size, 4-door pickup will travel the Midwest, transporting Foundation staff and supplies to farm safety training events, farm shows and other farm safety education opportunities.

Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS) announced today that it has joined U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WasteWise program. As the first national voluntary solid waste reduction program, Waste Wise encourages organizations to reduce municipal solid waste through waste prevention, recycling and buying or manufacturing recycled products.

Earvin “Magic” Johnson, NBA legend and entrepreneur, was the featured keynote speaker at Toyota’s Opportunity Exchange at the Duke Energy Center in Downtown Cincinnati today. Opportunity Exchange, one of the largest minority business events in the country, is designed to provide minority business enterprises (MBE’s) with the opportunity to network and develop valuable contacts with Toyota’s direct suppliers. To date, the event has resulted in over $150 million worth of new contracts for minority-owned businesses.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces it plans to withdraw from the FIA Formula One World Championship (F1) at the end of the 2009 season. TMC, which had viewed its participation in F1 as contributing to the prosperity of automotive culture, remained dedicated to competing at the pinnacle of motor sports, even in the face of the abrupt economic changes that started last year. However, when considering TMC’s motorsports activities next year and beyond from a comprehensive midterm viewpoint reflecting the current severe economic realities, TMC decided to withdraw from F1.

The annual fundraiser to benefit GLAAD’s work and celebrate the holidays this year will feature live entertainment, an eco-friendly fashion show and silent auction.
