Steven Hearne is the vice president of sales and dealer development for the Lexus division, the luxury division of Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.  Hearne is responsible for national sales, area offices, dealer development, certified pre-owned vehicle program and Lexus College.
 
Prior to his current position, Hearne was the general manager of the Los Angeles Region of TMS, where he was responsible for the annual sales plan, market penetration, expense control and customer satisfaction objectives for Toyota division. He was also responsible for ensuring effective implementation of Toyota philosophies, policies and procedures among region associates, the Toyota dealer body and other business partners.  
 
Hearne previously served as general manager for the Lexus Western Area in Irvine, Calif., overseeing aspects of sales and marketing for automotive operations, retail development, customer satisfaction and product planning.  Prior to this, he was assistant general manager of the Lexus Western Area.  Hearne also served as national sales administration manager at Lexus headquarters in Torrance, Calif., a position he returned to after a brief departure from TMS.
 
For several years, Hearne explored other opportunities. He served as the senior vice president of Realtor.com and also held positions with Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors.
 
Prior to his departure, Hearne held numerous positions in the field.  He spent time in distribution and market representation for Lexus Southern Area.  He also served as district sales manager, district service manager and district parts manager in the Toyota Cincinnati Region. Hearne began his career in the field in the Lexus Western Area as a management trainee.
 
Hearne joined Toyota in 1990 as a market representation analyst for Lexus division.
 
Hearne has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
