Mike Botkin is vice president of production control at Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA), located in Erlanger, Kentucky. TEMA supports Toyota's engineering and manufacturing operations in North America. He is responsible for production and productivity planning for Toyota’s North American operations.
Botkin joined Toyota in 1988 and progressed through a series of positions in the production control and logistics divisions. He was general manager of production control at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, Inc. in Georgetown, where he oversaw production preparation, planning control, direct/indirect parts management and logistics as well as in-house service parts planning and operations. Most recently, he was vice president of TEMA logistics, responsible for logistics planning, operations and compliance for North American, import and export components, as well as service parts engineering and development.
Prior to joining Toyota, Botkin worked at the University of Kentucky as an engineering assistant from 1985 to 1988 and had the opportunity to play for the Houston Astros, a minor league baseball team from 1982 to 1985. He serves on the board of directors for Lifepoint Solutions, serving Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky families in need.
