Flaurel English is vice president of strategic planning for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. overseeing the strategic planning department in addition to long range market planning and strategic research. She is also responsible for the Advanced Product Strategy group.
English joined Toyota in 1986 as a research administrator, supervisor and then manager in the Toyota Motor Sales research department. Most recently she was corporate manager of strategic planning. In 1997, she rejoined Toyota, after leading west coast operations at Allison-Fisher Inc., as national manager, strategic research. Most recently, English served as corporate manager, customer relations.
English earned a bachelor’s degree in quantitative psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also earned her master’s degree in school psychology from California State University, Northridge, and her doctorate of education in statistics and measurement at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
