Flaurel English is vice president of marketing for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, Inc. She is responsible for incentives and analytics, social and digital marketing, media, dealer product training and marketing finance.
Prior to her current role, she was vice president of strategic insight and planning for TMS where she oversaw the consumer insights department in addition to the long range market planning and advanced product strategy groups.
English joined Toyota in 1986 as a research administrator, supervisor and then manager in TMS’ research department. In 1997, she rejoined Toyota, after leading west coast operations at Allison-Fisher Inc., as vice president and partner. She was appointed national manager of strategic research and was later promoted to corporate manager, customer relations. In 2005, she returned to strategic planning as corporate manager.
English earned a bachelor’s degree in quantitative psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She also earned her master’s degree in school psychology from California State University, Northridge, and her doctorate of education in statistics and measurement at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
