Edward (Ed) Laukes is group vice president of the Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor North America. He is responsible for all Toyota division market planning, advertising, merchandising, sales promotion, incentives, NASCAR and motor sports, all social and digital media. Laukes also serves as a member of the Toyota Racing Development (TRD, U.S.A.) board of directors.
Prior to his current position, Laukes was vice president of marketing, media, incentives and motorsports for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. In this role, he was responsible for media relationships, vehicle incentive strategy, motorsports relationships, engagement marketing, auto shows and consumer events throughout the United States. Additionally, Laukes has served as vice president of performance and guest experience for TMS.
Since joining Toyota in 1989, Laukes has held various positions in both the Lexus and Toyota divisions. He first served as district service and parts manager for the Lexus Central Area and held a variety of additional management positions in the field. He has also held roles as the assistant general manager, and later, general manager for the Lexus Southern Area; general manager for the Toyota New York region; sales and production planning manager and sales administration manager at TMS headquarters in Torrance, Calif.
Prior to joining Toyota, Laukes worked with Buick and American Honda.
Laukes holds a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.
