Nancy Davies is vice president of distribution operations at Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, Inc. Davies is responsible for the vehicle distribution process from sales and production planning through vehicle wholesale to dealers. She also coordinates with numerous TMC divisions, including OPD, PCD and VDLD, along with TMEX, TdPR, Lexus, TMMNA and the North America assembly plants.
Prior to her current role, Davies was vice president of Toyota Logistics Services (TLS), Inc., where she was responsible for all TLS operations in the United States, including vehicle delivery to Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealerships, new vehicle processing and accessory installation, Toyota Transport operations and export of North American-produced vehicles to overseas destinations. TLS is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.
After joining Toyota in 1979 at Toyota’s New York regional office, Davies held a number of positions, including field operations manager, distribution manager, customer relations manager and regional parts manager. After a number of years in the field, she was transferred to company headquarters in Torrance, Calif., to serve in management positions for both the Lexus and Toyota divisions. She later returned to the field as assistant area manager for the Chicago-based Lexus Central area office, area manager for the Lexus Central area office and general manager of Toyota’s Chicago regional office. Upon her return to headquarters, she served as vice president of retail market development and vice president of North American planning, prior to joining TLS.
She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa., and earned a master’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.
