Robert Waltz is group vice president of product quality and service support for Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.


Waltz is responsible for product quality and service technology for all Toyota and Lexus vehicles, parts and accessories.  He provides key leadership to Toyota's Customer Quality Assurance, Quality Compliance, and Service Support Training & Technology functions.


Waltz joined TMS in 1986 at Toyota's Cincinnati Region. There he held various management positions including district service manager, regional customer relations manager, regional service manager, vice president and general manager.


In 1991, Waltz came to TMS headquarters, located in Torrance, Calif., as field service operations manager. He later returned to the field in 1993 as vice president of service at the Central Atlantic Toyota region. Since then, Waltz has held numerous senior management roles for the Toyota and Lexus brands. Most recently, Waltz served as vice president of customer satisfaction, overseeing the development and direction of all Toyota division customer satisfaction activities.


Prior to joining Toyota, Waltz spent 15 years in the retail automotive business.
