Joe Da Rosa is president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, home of the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma trucks.
Prior to his current position, Da Rosa was president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Baja California, representing Toyota’s first manufacturing facility in Mexico.
Da Rosa’s 40-year career with Toyota began at TABC, Toyota’s first North American manufacturing facility located in Long Beach, California. While at TABC, he held a number of supervisory positions in the areas of Production Control, Purchasing, Logistics and Body Weld.
Following his time at TABC, Da Rosa joined Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA), located in Erlanger Kentucky, as assistant general manager of Production Control responsible for North American product planning and productivity functions. TEMA supports Toyota’s engineering and manufacturing operations in North America.
Da Rosa also served as general manager of administration at Toyota’s Indiana plant.
Through his career, Da Rosa has been actively involved in organizations or projects aimed at advancing education and environment initiatives. As a strong promoter of cultural exchange and understanding, Da Rosa has worked with numerous organizations on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border, serving as a board member of the Smart Boarder Coalition, the Boys & Girls Club of Mexico and the Japan America Society of San Diego.
Da Rosa is bi-national and multi-cultural as he has worked in numerous projects in various countries such as Venezuela, Argentina, United States, Mexico and Japan.
He earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
