Abbas Saadat is Vice President of Vehicle Performance Development and Quality Promotion divisions at Toyota Technical Center (TTC), located in York Township, Mich. TTC, Toyota’s North American R&D center, is a division of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America, Inc. (TEMA).
Saadat joined TTC in 1991 as a senior engineer in the Parts Engineering Department responsible for Body & Chassis strength performance development. He was promoted to the position of Vice President of Vehicle Performance Development Division in January 2006. 
His current responsibilities include performance development of the vehicles designed & manufactured in North America in the area of Safety, Body/Chassis, Noise/Vibration, Vehicle Dynamics, Brakes, Body Functional, Seats, HVAC, Human Factors, as well as R&D Quality Promotion activities. 
Prior to joining TTC, Mr. Saadat worked as an engineer at General Motors Corporation in the Buick, Olds & Cadillac Vehicle Simulation & Development organization.
Saadat earned a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He has been a member of SAE since 1989.
