Ron Guerrier is vice president and chief information officer for Toyota Financial Services (TFS).
Guerrier leads the Business Technology Solutions (BTS) department, and is responsible for defining and driving an information technology agenda that supports business performance and enhances the customer experience. These responsibilities include overseeing the management of existing technologies, development of new technologies and innovative solutions, and insuring appropriate value for IT spend. Guerrier is a member of the TFS Management Committee, the Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC) Global Information Technology Steering Committee (GITSC), and the North America Information Technology (NAIT) Group. He reports to Julia Wada, group vice president of Human Resources, Business Technology Solutions, Real Estate & Facilities.
Guerrier joined Toyota at the Chicago TMCC Branch in 1996 as an assistant customer account representative, performing various collections and customer service activities. After joining Toyota Motor Sales Information Systems (TMS IS)in 1998, Guerrier held various roles; from Central Region IS Supervisor, supporting TMS, TMCC, North American Parts Center, Kentucky (NAPCK), and Toyota Logistics Services (TLS); to the Western Customer Service Center Technology Manager. In 2004, Guerrier returned to TMCC as the national manager, Enterprise Support Services, responsible for the Service Desk, Data Center Operations and Service Management. He moved to the Business Relationship & Application Development Team in 2007, and was promoted to Corporate Manager & Division Information Officer in 2009. Guerrier championed the creation of the TFS Innovation Lab in 2011, which received CIO Magazine’s CIO100 Award for promoting innovation and collaboration via the use of technology.
Guerrier is an executive sponsor for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Advantage Program, which mentors, prepares, and inspires young women and underserved communities to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math. He also raises awareness and donations for the reconstruction and self-sufficiency of Haiti, and enjoys volunteering for a variety of organizations.
Guerrier received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Illinois, and his Master’s Degree in Management from North Park University in Chicago. He has also earned Executive Education Certificates in Information Technology from the University of Chicago, University of California Berkeley, Boston University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
