Chris Ballinger is senior vice president & chief financial officer for Toyota Financial Services (TFS).
Ballinger joined TFS in September 2003 as vice president – Treasury, overseeing the Financial Risk Management, Sales and Trading, Capital Markets and Cash Management groups. Promoted to group vice president in December 2006, he also assumed the responsibility for Global Treasury for Toyota Financial Services Corporation. In 2008, he assumed the additional responsibilities of Finance and Accounting, taking on the chief financial officer as well.
In 2012, TFS was recognized with the Pinnacle Award, given by the Association of Finance Professionals in recognition of excellence in Treasury and Finance. Ballinger reports to George Borst, president and CEO.
Prior to joining Toyota, Ballinger served as assistant treasurer for Providian Financial, vice president of Treasury for Bank of America and staff economist at the President’s Council of Economic Advisors under Former President Ronald Reagan.
Ballinger received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Amherst College and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
