In this role, Shi is responsible for treasury, business intelligence, analytics and financial planning functions including planning, budgeting, liquidity, funding, derivatives, systems, asset-liability & capital management, valuation, cash management, and treasury operations.
Shi joined TFS in June 2006 as the Corporate Manager for Treasury overseeing capital markets and risk management. Prior to joining Toyota, he served as Senior Vice President and Assistant Treasurer for Providian Financial. He has also held vice president roles in the financial services industry for Goldman Sachs, Salomon Brothers, and Bank of America. Shi reports to Chris Ballinger, Group Vice President, & CFO.
Shi received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. He has also earned two advanced degrees – a master’s in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. and a doctorate in finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
