Edward J. Mantey will serve as senior advisor to the Corporate Strategy & Planning office at Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) located in Plano, Texas. Mantey will continue to serve as senior vice president of the Product Development Office at Toyota Technical Center (TTC) based in York Township, Michigan. TTC is Toyota’s North American R&D center and a division of Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). At TTC, Mantey has additional oversight for the Product Development, Corporate Strategy and Technical Administration Planning.
Prior to his current assignment, Mantey was vice president of Engineering Design – Exterior division and Electronic Systems division. 
Mantey joined TTC in 1991 with responsibility for overseeing the structural evaluations of products developed in North America. From 1996 to 2000, Mantey held the position of executive engineer for Development, Planning and Operations where his responsibilities included the position of chief engineer for the 2000 Avalon.
Mantey earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University.
